Fuller's Mill
Holiday Home, Dunster, Exmoor
Welcome to Fuller's Mill
This historic former mill, situated within Exmoor National Park and the historic village of Dunster, is the perfect base from which to begin your discovery of this beautiful part of the West Country.

A renovated medieval 'fulling' or cotton mill, Fuller's Mill combines period features, modern amenities and a great location to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. It is within walking distance of many of Exmoor's popular hiking and biking trails, Dunster village's historic attractions and several excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants.

The Mill house is situated over two floors, with a tranquil, enclosed rear garden and detached off-road parking. The ground floor comprises a large living/dining area with an inglenook fireplace, spacious hallway and fully equipped kitchen. There is also a ground floor toilet and utility room, perfect for storing walking equipment.

Upstairs, the property has three large bedrooms (one double, two twin) and a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, bath and toilet. The upstairs of the property provides fantastic views across Dunster playing fields to the hills of Exmoor beyond.

Outside, the property's walled garden and terrace is the perfect place from which to relax and see the mill stream flowing past. To the side of the garden, you can also see the village's medieval animal pound, now fortunately no longer in use! There is also road-free access to both the Dunster recreation ground and children's play area.

The historic village of Dunster has been described as one of the best-preserved medieval villages in England. Nestled at the base of the imposing Dunster Castle, the origins of the village go back over 1000 years. As a result, the village has a wealth of historic features easily explored on foot, including the medieval yarn market (which may have sold cloth from fuller's mill), priory and church, dovecote, packhorse bridge and even an iron age fort. Dunster is also an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and activity seekers looking to discover the hills and coastline of Exmoor National Park. Advice, maps and trail guides are available both within the property and at the Exmoor National Park visitor centre, situated within the village.

Slightly further afield, visitors can explore the seaside town of Minehead which marks the start of the South West Coastal Path and is home to the famous West Somerset Railway, the longest heritage railway line in the country. Minehead beach is also a great location for watersports. Other popular local attractions include the picturesque seaside towns of Porlock and Watchet, Medieval Cleeve Abbey and Tropiquaria animal park, all only a short drive away.
